By creating an account or using DuetStudio, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
DuetStudio is a studio management platform for private music teachers. It provides tools for scheduling lessons, managing lesson notes, tracking student practice, managing assignments, invoicing, and a student portal. The platform is free for up to 30 active students. Paid plans with additional features may be offered in the future — see our pricing page for current details.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Ensuring that student and parent information you enter is accurate and collected with appropriate consent
- Complying with applicable laws regarding the collection and use of student data
4. Billing & Subscriptions
DuetStudio is currently free for teachers with up to 30 active students. Paid plans with additional features (such as unlimited students, automatic invoicing, and music library storage) may be introduced in the future. If paid plans are introduced, we will notify you in advance. You will never be charged without explicitly opting into a paid plan. If we introduce payment processing features (e.g., Stripe integration for collecting lesson payments from families), transaction fees may apply and will be clearly disclosed before you enable the feature.
5. Data & Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. We collect only the data necessary to provide the service. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use DuetStudio for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm others, or to transmit any content that violates applicable laws. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
DuetStudio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
