Pricing questions
Will the free plan always be free?
Yes, and free means the whole craft of teaching: unlimited students, scheduling, lesson notes, assignments, the student portal, practice tracking, templates, tags and repertoire. Pro is the business layer on top of that: getting paid, and getting found.
What does Pro actually unlock?

Can my part-time teachers use it?
Yes. On Pro you can invite as many teachers and admins as you like, at no extra cost. If a teacher needs to run their own students, schedule and uploads, give them a full-access seat for $6 a month or $60 a year. A teacher who will never sign up can still be added by name, so the calendar and roster show who teaches whom.
What can an invited teacher do?
Take attendance, write lesson notes and assign practice, for their own students only. Changes to the schedule go through you, with a request on the lesson. Family contact details stay with you unless you choose to share them. A seat adds their own students, scheduling and library uploads.
What happens to my teachers if I cancel Pro?
Free is for one teacher, so your teachers lose access to your studio and keep their own. Nothing is deleted or moved: their students and upcoming lessons stay assigned to them, and your dashboard lists them so you can take them over. Seats end with the subscription. If you upgrade again, you choose who to bring back.
Does DuetStudio take a cut of my lesson payments?
Only on card payments, and only on Free. Card payments through Stripe have a 1% DuetStudio fee on top of Stripe’s standard processing fee. Pro has no DuetStudio fee. Venmo, Zelle, Cash App and PayPal on your invoices never have a fee on any plan.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel any time from Settings, under Plan and billing. Cancelling drops you back to Free; your data stays put.
