What parents see and receive

When you add a student whose parent or guardian is the contact, the emails a family needs go to the parent: invoices, lesson summaries, assignments, and lesson reminders if you turn them on. The child can have their own portal for lessons and practice, and never sees money in it.

Steps

1. When you add a student, choose Parent or guardian for a child, or Self for an adult who handles their own lessons and bills.
2. For a child, add the parent's name and email. A second guardian can be added too.
3. Invoices, lesson summaries, assignments and lesson reminders then go to the parent's email. If there is no parent email, they go to the student's.
4. To give the child their portal, invite them from their page with Invite to Portal. The sign-in link goes to the email on the student's own record.

Good to know

• A student who is not an adult never sees invoices, payments or amounts in the portal.
• Lesson reminders to families are off until you turn them on in Settings, under Notifications.
