Lesson reminders for you and for families

There are two kinds. You get one email each morning listing that day's lessons. Families can get an email the day before each lesson, sent to the parent for students under 18. The family email is off until you turn it on, so nobody is emailed while you are trying things out. Both are on every plan.

Steps

1. Open Settings, then Notifications.
2. Under Lessons, Lesson reminders is your own morning digest. Turn it off if you do not want it.
3. Under Emails to families, turn on Remind families before each lesson. From then on, every family with an email on file gets a reminder the day before their lesson.
4. To stop reminders for one student, open the student's page, go to Lessons, and turn off Lesson reminders there.
5. To remind a family about one lesson right away, open the lesson and choose Send reminder now.

Good to know

• A moved lesson is reminded again at its new time. A cancelled lesson is not reminded.
• Families can turn their reminders off from the email or from their portal profile.
• Send reminder now works even while the automatic family reminders are off.
