Subscribe to your lessons in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar
DuetStudio gives you a private calendar link, and one button adds it to the calendar you already use. Set it up once: new, moved and cancelled lessons then show up there on their own. It is a subscription, so changes flow from DuetStudio into your calendar, not the other way. It is included on every plan, and families can add their own lessons from the student portal.
Steps
- In DuetStudio, choose Add to calendar at the top of the Calendar page, or in Settings, under Calendar sync.
- Pick your calendar app from the list.
- Apple Calendar: on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, choose Subscribe.
- Google Calendar: on a computer, choose Add. Google cannot add a calendar from its phone app, but once it is added it shows on your phone too.
- Outlook: choose Outlook, or Outlook for work or school for a Microsoft 365 account, then Import.
- Any other calendar app: choose Copy link and subscribe to it from that app. Settings also has Set it up by hand, with the link and the steps for each app.
Good to know
- How soon a change appears depends on the app: Apple checks about every hour, Outlook every few hours, and Google a few times a day. DuetStudio always has the current schedule.
- Studio owners and admins can also subscribe to the whole studio, with every lesson labelled with its teacher.
- Share your calendar with other people? Turn on Show first names only in Settings, under Calendar sync.
- Families: in the student portal, open Profile, then Lessons in your calendar. Siblings who share a login get every child's lessons in one calendar.
- Keep the link private. If it is ever shared by mistake, make a new one in Settings, under Calendar sync (families, from Profile). The old link stops working.
